COURSE AND INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL PROCESS
Instructor submits credentials and course materials and local accreditation information to ESTAC.
The screening team then verifies the course and instructor credentials, as well as checking for inconsistencies in current techniques or academic information. Once completed the information is passed along with a temporary accreditation number.
The director for the perspective discipline (police, fire or ems) will screen all the documentation submitted by the screening team and approve, or deny either the course, and or instructor. The instructor has an appeal process if denied.
Once a course is approved by the director it is forwarded to the council for approval, with the temporary accreditation number. The council has the right to deny any instructor or course materials.
Approval process consists of issuance of a completed accreditation number which expires in one years time and will be required to be resubmitted for renewal at the one year mark.
